Please read (so you can understand me more)..
Everyone has their own vision of an ideal restaurant. An ideal restaurant for The Skinny Bib is one that has a character and serves up playful, inventive, comforting, filling and well executed food. While food is my priority, the scene should be charming and unique; and the service must be efficient.
To assess that vision, I come up with this “food-focused” rating.
Impression Rating –> 0-5
This represents my general view of the restaurant I visit and its execution.
0 = You might die eating at this restaurant.
1 = The place is mediocre.
2 = This is alright but not quite worth your money or calories.
3 = Some good things, some bad things. I don’t hate this restaurant but I don’t like it either.
4 = My meal here is amazing for the most part. I will surely return here.
5 = Exceptional. I can eat here for the rest of my life.
Innovation and/or Comfort?
This is pretty much like a yes/no food-focused answer. “Innovation” represents the uniqueness of the menu and the ways dishes are created at the restaurant, while “Comfort” represents, of course, the level of comfort, satisfaction and filling-ness I feel after a meal at the restaurant.
I also provide links to my number 0 – 5. I hope it will give you a rough sense of the site’s ranking. It has some flaws, but it is the most facilitating I can come up with.
Apart from this, I have my GO FOR: where I document particular things that you should not miss at the restaurant.
Love you and thank you for sticking around with The Skinny Bib xxx
